Sandlot Games
After a successful inaugural fall CIS Sandlot Games, we wanted to bring it back for two one-day INDOOR events and expand our games to include both baseball and fastpitch players!
The CIS Sandlot Games is an opportunity for individual baseball and fastpitch players to participate in an organized double header game format. Come play to get back in the swing of your sport, getting live game-like play.
Sandlot Games are fun, exciting and a great way to meet and interact with other players around the metro.
Simply register for a CIS Sandlot event, be placed on a team, show up at the venue, play two games and have a great time!!

Format
4 Team Format
Teams will be placed in 4 team bracket
Winners of 1st game will play for championship Losers of 1st game will play for 3rd place
2 Team Format
Teams will play a double header
Winners are decided by record
Tie breakers: runs scored, run differential
No new inning after 1:15 minutes- games will be scheduled in 1:30 minutes increments.
Will use standard baseball/softballs for event.
Baseball fields will be 210' fences.
Softball fields will be 200' fences.

Pitching
Pitching machines will be used
Hitters will see all fastballs at the appropriate speed

Defense
Players will rotate defense positions between innings and will play all positions during event.

Offense
The entire line-up will bat and will hit off a pitching machine

Team roster
Players are randomly drawn for teams, starting position and batting order

Coach
Guardians will have an option to volunteer to coach during player registration.

Age/grade rules for '23 season
Each player will receive a colored team t-shirt to be worn at the games
Event Dates
Dec. 17th Saturday (BB)
Dec. 18th Sunday (FP)
Player check-in: 30 minutes before first game
Games will be played in the morning.
Awards
All players will each receive a CIS Sandlot Games medal and bag tag.
Players will nominate their teammates for offensive, defensive, and Team MVP
